#2 Hinomi H1 Pro Ergonomic chair
H1 Pro: Approx SGD600 – SGD630
$19.90 for Installation
Hinomi H1 pro boasts flip-up armrests, providing users with the flexibility to customize their seating experience. The ergonomic design allows you to get the arm rests out of the way (when you require it) It also has a built-in leg rest. This addition aims to provide users with the option to stretch out and elevate their legs while working or taking a break. While having these 2 features may sound appealing in theory, we found that we (and most people we asked) is unlikely to use these features.
Having a flip up armrest, we found that we did not use this function at all. And having a footrest, while may sound good in theory, we too did not use this function at all. Especially during focused work sessions, having a footrest does not allow us to work leaning over at our desk. In the office, it might look unprofessional. And at home, if we wanted to, we could just lie down on our bed. As a result, the additional cost associated with the leg rest may be deemed unnecessary.
In addition, the armrest and leg rest on the Hinomi H1 pro seems slightly bulky. Which takes up more room than other chairs. Especially in Singapore’s context where our rooms are small, the chair just seems to take up too much space.
catering to the needs of individuals who seek both comfort and functionality. However, when compared to its counterparts, the H1 pro may fall short in certain aspects, such as competitive pricing.
Conclusion.
In conclusion, we found Hinomi H1 Pro to be slightly bulky with unnecessary features that makes it more expensive (Installation is also not free and it costs $19.90) And in terms of comfort, we preferred NextChair’s mesh material which feels more comfortable.
While the leg rest and flip up arm rest on the Hinomi H1 Pro offers a unique and innovative feature, its practicality depends on individual preferences and work habits. The Hinomi H1 Pro costs more than NextChair Luxe 2.0 model due to these unnecessary features (in our opinion it feels unnecessary)
Users who value occasional leg elevation and enhanced versatility may appreciate this feature, but those who prioritize a more straightforward ergonomic solution may find it to be an unnecessary expense. Ultimately, the decision to opt for a chair with a leg rest should align with the user’s specific needs and preferences, and we still prefer NextChair Luxe 2.0.
#3 Ergotune Supreme
Supreme: Approx SGD600
Self Installation
Ergotune Supreme has an innovative feature which allows you to press the neckrest downwards ergonomic seating to the next level by introducing a headrest that can be pressed down to accommodate various sitting preferences. This feature ensures optimal neck support, reducing strain during prolonged periods of sitting. It also allows you to adjust the height of the backrest. While the Ergotune Supreme excels in head and neck support, the overall chair design and pricing may not resonate with individuals seeking a more budget-friendly option without compromising on quality.
Comparing all 3 brands, we found that Ergotune’s mesh material to be slightly too soft and it tends to “sink”, compared to Hinomi’s mesh which feels more rigid. Overall we prefer NextChair’s mesh material as it is both comfortable and not too hard (some of our colleagues feel that Hinomi’s mesh is slightly too hard) NextChair’s mesh is a good balance (not too hard, not too soft)
We do like the look of Ergotune’s supreme though. Comparing Hinomi Vs Ergotune, We found Hinomi to be slightly too bulky, but Ergotunes’s supreme looks very streamlined and elegant (similar to NextChair, as both Ergotunes Vs NextChair both have very streamlined aesthetics)
Ergotune Supreme also has a standout feature – armrests that can pivot 270 degrees. This unique design allows you to comfortable support your arms in scenarios such as playing games on your phone. However similar to Hinomi, we found these features to be unnecessary and they only result in a more expensive price tag.
It is for these reasons that we still found NextChair to be our top choice for ergonomic chairs.
Comparing Hinomi Vs Ergotune Vs NextChair, NextChair's high quality, affordability with no unnecessary costs plus free delivery & installation still proves to be the smarter choice for anyone buying an ergonomic chair.
